Air conditioning is not optional here
Las Vegas summers regularly push past 110 degrees, and the heat does not let up much at night. An air conditioner that struggles in May can fail outright in July, when every HVAC company in town is busy. We focus on cooling because that is the system Las Vegas homeowners cannot live without, and we keep the phone answered around the clock so a breakdown at 11 p.m. does not mean a sleepless night.
Most of the calls we take fall into a few patterns: the system runs but blows warm air, the outdoor unit hums but the fan does not spin, water is pooling near the indoor unit, or the house simply cannot get below the high 80s in the afternoon. Each of those has a short list of likely causes, and a good technician can usually narrow it down in one visit. Start with our AC repair page if you want to understand what is probably going on before we arrive.

How a service call works
1. You call or send the form
Call (725) 302-1437, tap Talk to Alex, or fill in the form on this page. Tell us what the system is doing, roughly how old it is and where you are in the valley. Alex, our phone assistant, takes the details at any hour and passes them straight to our team.
2. We diagnose before we quote
A technician checks the thermostat, electrical parts, refrigerant pressures, airflow and drainage and explains what failed and why. You get the options and the price before any repair starts, and you decide.
3. We fix it and test it
After the repair we run the system and check the temperature difference across the indoor coil, so you know it is actually cooling, not just running. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you how long it will take and what we can do to get you through in the meantime.
Repair, tune-up or replace?
Not every struggling AC needs to be replaced, and not every old system is worth another repair. As a rule of thumb, a system under ten years old with a single failed part is almost always worth repairing. A system in its mid-teens that needs a compressor, or that has had refrigerant added more than once, is usually a better candidate for replacement. We will tell you which side of that line your system is on and why.
The cheapest repair is the one you never need. A spring AC tune-up cleans the coils that desert dust clogs, tests the capacitor and contactor that fail most often in the heat, and clears the drain line before it backs up. If your system keeps losing its charge, our refrigerant leak repair service finds the leak rather than masking it.
Beyond the air conditioner
Cooling depends on more than the equipment. Crushed or leaking ducts in a hot attic can waste a big share of the cold air you pay for, so we also offer duct repair and installation and duct cleaning. A failing or poorly placed thermostat can make a healthy system look broken, which is why we install and repair thermostats too.
Winters here are mild, but heat pumps and furnaces still need care, and we cover heating repair and installation for our customers. We also take emergency plumbing calls around the clock for leaks and burst pipes.
Where we work
We serve homes across the Las Vegas Valley: Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Paradise and Boulder City. Each area page covers the housing and cooling issues we see most in that part of town. Not sure if you are in range? Contact us and ask.
What to check before you call
A few quick checks can save you a service call, or at least help us arrive with the right parts.
Thermostat and breaker
Make sure the thermostat is set to cool and a few degrees below room temperature, and that its screen is on. Then check the breakers for both the outdoor unit and the indoor air handler. Reset a tripped breaker once; if it trips again, leave it off and call.
Filter
A clogged filter is one of the most common reasons a system stops cooling, especially after a dusty spring. If yours is gray and matted, replace it and give the system an hour.
Outdoor unit
With the system running, look at the outdoor unit. If the fan is not spinning or you hear humming with no fan, turn the system off and call us. That is usually a capacitor or motor, and running it can damage the compressor.
Why homeowners call us back
Most of our work comes from people who have called us before, and from their neighbors. That tends to happen when a company does three simple things well: shows up when it says it will, explains the problem in a way that makes sense, and charges what it quoted. We try to do all three on every call, whether it is a two-minute capacitor swap or a full system replacement.
If you are comparing companies, ask each one how they diagnose the problem, whether they give the price before starting, and what happens if the repair does not fix it. You should get clear answers to all three from us.
Questions we hear a lot
Do you really answer at night?
Yes. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. For after-hours breakdowns, see 24-hour AC repair.
How much does an AC repair cost?
It depends on what failed. A capacitor or contactor is a small repair; a compressor or coil is a major one. We diagnose first and give you the price before any work begins, and we offer free online estimates for new systems.
How long should an air conditioner last in Las Vegas?
Heavy summer use shortens equipment life compared with milder climates. Many systems here start needing major repairs somewhere in their second decade, and regular tune-ups help them last longer.
My AC is running but the house will not cool. Should I keep it on?
If it is blowing warm air or the outdoor fan is not spinning, turn it off at the thermostat and call. Running a system with a failed fan motor or low refrigerant can damage the compressor, which turns a small repair into a big one.
Do you work on mini-splits?
Yes, we install, repair and clean ductless mini-split systems. See mini-splits.
